We are dedicated to creating welcoming homes where older adults can thrive — surrounded by friendship, support, and a true sense of belonging. Our goal is to enhance quality of life by offering both affordability and connection, so residents can enjoy their golden years with peace of mind and companionship.

About Us

Cornerstone Coves was created to meet the growing need for affordable, community-focused housing for seniors in Houston. We believe that life is better when shared, which is why our homes are designed for older adults who want independence without isolation.

As a new housing service, we are expanding to open multiple properties in the coming year — providing safe, comfortable living spaces where seniors can enjoy friendship, support, and a strong sense of home.

Our Offerings

We offer housing through cooperative living spaces designed to promote community and mutual support among participants. Each living space includes:

  • Bed & linens

  • Bathroom & Shower

  • Access to Refrigerator

  • Access to Washer & Dryer

  • Utilities* - Electricity & Water included (with a monthly household cap of $250 for electricity and $150 for water; excess costs will be divided among household members)

  • Wi-Fi Internet Access

  • Periodic Professional House Cleaning

  • Regular Preventative Pest Control​​

Basic Resident Eligibility

At Cornerstone Coves, we welcome seniors who are looking for a safe, affordable, and community-focused place to live. Our Houston Hobby Location Home is designed for independent senior men who want companionship and the comfort of living among peers.

​

To join our community, residents should meet the following criteria:

  • Male

  • Single

  • Age 55 or older

  • Currently working with a case worker or social worker

  • Employed or have a steady source of income (such as Social Security or retirement benefits)

  • Willing to complete a background check (approval subject to management review)

​

We are also working toward expanding our housing options soon, so we can welcome an even wider range of seniors at future locations.

Pricing Information

Non-refundable Fee:

  • $55 for Background Check (Credit History, Criminal History, Eviction History, Income Verification)​

Basic Accommodation:

  • Twin XL Bed (top or bottom bunk depending on availability)

  • Shared Room (1 or 2 other roommates)

  • $200 Refundable Deposit*

  • $250/week OR $1,000/month

  • First month payment due upfront

Premium Accommodation:

  • Full Sized Bed

  • Unshared Room (alone)​

  • $200 Refundable Deposit*

  • $300/week OR $1,200/month​​

  • First month payment due upfront

Parking:

Street parking is free and available to all house members, however, spots in the driveway are of course limited. To better manage demand and expectations, a parking fee of $5/week OR $20/month is required to gain one of two designated parking spots in the driveway. (First choice in parking assignment is given to the House Manager.)​​

Government Funding Requirements

Participants receiving government funding (e.g., SSI and SSDI) must enroll with the designated third-party payee. All participants must agree to our terms and conditions.

Mail Delivery

Please note that there is no mail delivery allowed to the house address. We recommend using a P.O. box, virtual mailbox, or arranging mail delivery through a friend, family member, or local service.

House Rules

To maintain a harmonious living environment, we would like to highlight the following house rules:

  • No smoking indoors

  • No prohibited drug use

  • No alcohol

  • No Pets

  • Clean up all personal items, dishes, and trash

  • Wash your own laundry at least once per week

  • Complete designated chores

  • No visitors unless approved by management

  • No overnight guests

  • Lights out at 10 PM

  • This is a cooperative living environment. If conflicts arise or house rules are violated, management reserves the right to ask you to leave at any time.

*Deposit Policy

  • All deposits are fully refundable.

  • If house rules are violated or you are asked to leave, deposits become non-refundable.

  • If you choose not to renew your agreement and there are damages, repair costs will be deducted from your deposit.

  • Deposits will be processed and refunded within 30 days after your departure. A forwarding address must be provided upon moving out.
